Gold is doing really well for investors, actually over the past decade. However, I think silver is the way to go because of the massive amounts being sold on paper. I think it’s time our “reserves” were audited.

I am an invester in small amounts of Silver Bars. Anthing from 1, 5, & 10 oz. Bars. At present I have about 200 ounces of Slver bars, all types of kinds and sizes. I have a Safe I keep my Silver in, but decided that every 200 ounces I get to I will transfer into my safe deposit box from my home safe. I live in a good area, but you can never be to safe with your wealth. I am 48 years old, and have had a couple finacial set backs, like loosing my home in Florida, and loosing out on $100 Thousand Dollars Equity. But I am finally starting to get back on my feet financially. I have the silver and I am also going to be opening a CD that you can add money to, better to not keep your eggs in one basket. It is from my bank , and is called Simply CD. You don’t need much money to open it, and you can build on it when ever you want, plus it has the same interest rates as a traditional 5 year CD. So I have that my silver, money in my pocket, in the bank , and my park rent paid up for a year. Also I put a new metal roof, on my home, bought a new ulta-light wheelchair $3000 Broke my back in a car wreck in 1984, so have spent moast of my life in a wheelchair. Still have all my upper body strengh, and still drive, and I am able to take care of myself, and be a very independent person. Also bought a car for the winter, so I can put my sport’s car up for the winter. Also have resv. for 2 weeks in Ft,Myers, FL for 2 weeks at the end of March 2010. So I have had a great year, and I hope things to keep getting better. Any advice You can give me on buying and investing in Silver would be Grateful. Thank You, Alan Duboyce……………………………………………

I think gold is a good short term trade, but longer term, the fundamentals are just not there. The markets are trading on inflation hysteria at the moment, with no real inflation showing on the immediate horizon, it could come down pretty quick. I think if it holds $1000 it could be good for another 100 points or so.

The dollar’s fate is intertwined with China and Japan’s long term strategies. That strategy is to get out the dollar position entirely. I believe silver is a stronger bet for profits than gold is at this point, while gold will see more stability in pricing.
